Family Worship June 3rd

1st Peter 3:1-7

Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way,showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered. Vs 7

             The following study has been designed for family worship time, but it can be done as an individual or in a small group that is not a family. All questions will assume a family setting feel free to adopt them to your needs. If you are interested in additional material to help conduct family worship, please contact me.

1. Begin by having a family member open with prayer.
2. As a family read 1^st Peter
3. Reread 1^st Peter 3:1-7
4. Discuss the verses as a family:
   1. In general, what is your response to these verses? What might this gut response reveal about your desire to live out these verses?
   2. What is the command to women?
   3. What is the goal of godly behavior in women?
   4. What is the basis for this command?
   5. What is the command to men?
   6. What is the basis for this command?
   7. What is the goal of godly behavior in men?
   8. How does our view of God and Christ affect how we respond to injustice and suffering?
5. Application:
   1. Do we live out this text?
   2. How do we live out this Scripture more?
6. Prayer:
   1. Beginning with the Father confess your sins before God, specifically the areas where you have failed to live out the roles God has assigned for man and woman.
   2. Pray for each other.
   3. Offer other prayers of supplication and intercession.
7. Worship God together as a family.
